Pushing Up Mommy

I met with my new trainer at lunch today. Her name is Angela, and she's awesome. I like her SO much better than Andre.

She's really into exercises that use your own body weight (rather than free weights or machines), which is awesome, because that way I can do them at home if I need to.

And the body-weight exercise that we are all the most familiar with is...anyone? Bueller?...that's right, push-ups!

And friends, I am here to tell you the sad but honest truth: I can no longer do ONE push-up. Not ONE! This is so pathetic! In grad school, I thought nothing of doing 25--and I mean the real ones, with my feet on the floor, not the girly ones on my knees. And now, I couldn't make it up from a single one.

Obviously, I have work to do.

I'm glad you have a new trainer--and I'm glad you like her. Push-ups, hmmm.. I think I remember those...
Keep up the good work!

Sounds like your new trainer has the right idea!

I'm still ok on pushups, but pullups? uh oh....

Push ups? Screw that noise! Does tap dancing count for body weight exercising? You are a better woman than I, I will tell you that right now... ;)
